This is a super heavy sensory deprivation hood, made of 6mm thick steel. It weighs 10kg | 22lb!
It's very easy to lock with a bolt and without the fitting key or other hand tools it's impossible to remove. The outside is mirror polished and the entire hood is nickel plated to increase shine and corrosion resistance.
It's meant to be as intense of an experience as possible:
1. The weight will force you to hold the hood with your hands (if they are not restrained) or submit to it and lay your head on the ground.
It definitely puts you in your place and you will be aware of your new helpless status. You can also beg for the hood to be attached to the ceiling so you can remain upright - either on your knees or standing. If you're kneeling, you won't be able to lay down, while if you want to stand up, you'll either have to bend over so the hood remains suspended or you can carry it on your shoulders.
2. The metal enclosure redirects all the sounds you make back at your ears amplified, so you can't afford to yell and you'll have to keep quiet.
3. The steel hood is a bit like a bell - if your Master knocks on it with something hard, you will hear it LOUD and clear.
4. With the eyes and mouth holes plugged you will still get enough air through the gap between the front and back parts of the hood, but you will be motivated to take calm and deep breaths to keep the air as fresh as possible. This has an additional meditative effect, because you focus on your breathing and you can hear quite loudly each and every breath you take.
5. If you have to be taken on a walk, your Master can unplug the eye holes so you can see where you're going. The view is very limited - just the way your status requires - you'll have a narrow field of view just in front of you.
6. You can be further restrained by attaching other accessories to your front or backside and tying them off to the attachment loops on the collar. These connections can motivate you to keep your back arched for your Master's viewing pleasure.
7. If you need to drink, it's not necessary to release you from the hood. The mouth hole can be unplugged and you can drink from a straw
8. For most people there's enough vertical space inside to wear the hood with accessories that keep the mouth open.
This particular hood is size XL, so it should fit most people. The collar is size M with a 13cm diameter or 33cm circumference.

Please keep in mind that this piece of relentless steel is indeed super heavy and you need to treat it with the respect it deserves. Keeps fingers, ears and neck skin clear when closing the hood. Hold tight so it won't slam shut. Don't even think about dropping it if you care about what's underneath it.
Also - as a complex hand crafted item, it has imperfections - the mirror finish doesn't reach everywhere, the nickel plating has oily handprint-looking spots, etc. Everything is visible in the photos and video. Whatever looks like handprints will not come off with cleaning - I've tried. At least these imperfections give it more character as something made by a real human with his 2 hands.
